Brilliant Papercraft Works of Art
Papercraft is a method of creating various models from heavy paper, such as card stock. It has grown in popularity over the past few years, and some recent work has influenced me to look deeper into the craft, and how you can make your own.
Basically, papercraft is a much broader category that contains origami and card modeling, and the models are either drawn on the paper or cut out in order to create the creatures or figures. At this point, they are glued together, although some additional steps are involved in order to make them stand out.
This form of creativity grew during the early 20th century, as they were placed in magazines, and ships, architecture, and more were used in kits during the 1940s. Some of the work can be placed together in order to create a scene.

Self Portrait – Eric Testroete
I made this as my costume for Halloween 2009. It was kind of inspired by big-head mode seen in videogames. I really wanted to get the faceted geosphere look with wireframe.
